Design, Layout, Colour Schemes, Construction of Representation & Mise En Scene

The combination of our digipak, advert and overall music video all look visually pleasing because of the fact that they link together, all of them involve pinky colours in some way. For example, the sunsets we've used are all pink and orange creating a very girly, pretty effect. This is effective as the artists are a girl pop band and the target audience is for teenage girls and these colours are stereo-typically supposed to be what girls like and generally represent females as they are labelled as 'girl colours'. Therefore, this promotes and advertises our music video as the band's fans will be attracted to this and be tempted to buy it in order to support their role models.

The layout and design of all of our products look simple which creates a professional, expensive looking effect and this helps to make the band look wealthy and powerful which is typical for pop genres. The fact that all of the products are like this makes them all link together nicely and makes it obvious to the audience that they are all apart of the same pop song and for the same pop band. This also helps with the advertising of the products as the band member's fans may recognise the products and know it's for the song and band which they support.

On all of our products, the band members have happy, cheerful facial expressions which helps to show the genre of pop as this very typical for pop. The fact that they are shown as happy also attracts the audience as it helps to reflect what the song may sound like and show the message of the song meaning the audience may want to buy it in hope that the feelings reflect onto them. The band members are also stood in a powerful looking way and their body language shows that they are friends with each other which proves to the audience they are a band. The fact that they look powerful is typical for a pop band as it helps to create more of an audience because they look inspiring and may act as role models for some people. The outfits that the band members are wearing on all of our products are girly and fashionable which is common for girl pop bands as it helps their audience look up to them and copy their outfits because they are inspired by them and want to be like them. Also, because all of the band member's outfits are like this, it helps the audience understand that they are all apart of the same band as they all link and fit together nicely.
